Jack speaks at such events as Veterans Day, July 4, Memorial Day at museums and military cemeteries and to address such writing groups as Historical Writers of America, Historical Novel Society, and Military Writers Society of America

Jack teaches writing classes to writing groups, including classes on the devices and conventions of creative writing.



Jack’s workshops include structure of the novel, integrating front- and back-story, and revising drafts, among others.


Jack’s classes include writing in bygonese, writing dialogue, creating conflict, story arc for both historical and mainstream fiction, and how to avoid straying from the central theme or story, among others.
